A contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional Indian diwan — clean-lined solid teak frame with hand-woven natural cane panels on the sides and back, topped with a thick upholstered seat cushion in oatmeal linen.
Designed for the way Indian homes actually live: afternoon reading, chai with guests, a quick nap, or extra seating when the drawing room fills up. The cane panels keep the form visually light while the solid teak frame is built to last generations.
Handcrafted in Saharanpur by third-generation cane weavers. Each panel uses traditional octagonal-weave rattan cane, hand-pressed and lacquered for durability. The cushion cover is removable and machine-washable.
