Community guidelines
AMICHA is a place for people to plan the interiors of their home in confidence, alongside the designers, makers and suppliers who bring those homes to life. These guidelines apply to every conversation on the platform.
01What belongs here
Every chat on AMICHA is a real conversation about a real home. Keep it respectful, specific, and useful — the same way you would if the two of you were standing in the room together.
- Questions about a listing — dimensions, materials, timelines, price ranges.
- Sharing photos of your own space, mood images, references, or floor plans that help the conversation.
- Discussing project scope, budget, availability, delivery — the practical logistics of a design project.
- Polite negotiation, honest feedback, and clear "not for us" replies when a partner or listing isn't the right fit.
02What doesn't
Anything below violates our guidelines and may result in a message being removed or an account being suspended:
- Harassment, abuse, threats, hate speech, or attacks on someone's identity.
- Sexually explicit content, nudity, or grooming behaviour.
- Spam, unsolicited sales pitches, or attempts to redirect the conversation off-platform for fraudulent purposes.
- Sharing another person's private information — phone numbers, addresses, financial details — without their consent.
- Fraud, misrepresentation of identity, or fake listings.
- Illegal content or activity, including anything that violates Indian law.
03Report and block
Every chat on AMICHA has a menu button that lets you take action instantly:
- Report — tell us what's happening in one tap. Choose a reason (spam, harassment, inappropriate content, or other) and add context if you'd like. A human on the AMICHA team reviews every report.
- Block — stop seeing messages from a specific partner. Blocking is instant and only visible to you.
04How we review
Every report enters a moderation queue reviewed by the AMICHA team. Our current response targets:
When a report is upheld, we may remove the offending message, warn the sender, restrict their ability to send messages, or, for repeated or severe violations, suspend their account. In all cases we notify the person who filed the report of the outcome.
05Off-platform issues
AMICHA connects people, but the design project itself often happens off-platform — over WhatsApp, phone calls, and site visits. We can only moderate conversations that happen inside AMICHA. If something goes wrong outside our platform, please still let us know — even though we can't act on the message itself, we can act on the AMICHA account.
For criminal matters — threats, fraud, harassment — please also involve local authorities. AMICHA cooperates with lawful requests from Indian law enforcement.
Need to reach a human?
The fastest path is the report button inside a chat. For anything else — abuse concerns, questions about a decision, or feedback on these guidelines:
